How did you get started in wedding floristry and styling? What inspired you to pursue this path?

I began my journey in wedding floristry and styling by joining a prominent florist company in 2007. In early 2016, I launched my own brand, My Style Wedding Decoration. Working with flowers and helping couples realise their dream wedding styles always brings me immense satisfaction.

What makes your floral and styling approach stand out in Bali?

We understand that every couple wants the best for their wedding, reflecting their style while staying within their budget. We strive to achieve this balance and make it happen. Having a budget-friendly wedding doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice elements that represent you. With our help, you can still have a beautiful wedding that reflects your style.

Can you share a wedding project that was particularly memorable for you? What made it special?

When we first started our brand, we didn’t have a name yet. I met a bride who told me her groom loved playing badminton. We decided to incorporate a badminton theme into the decorations as a surprise for him, without losing the essence of a wedding. The groom was pleasantly surprised, and the guests were impressed. We also did something similar for a culinary enthusiast’s wedding. These experiences inspired the My Style brand, allowing couples to say, “Yes, this is My Style wedding.”

How do you work with couples to ensure their wedding decor reflects their personalities and vision?

We always ask couples about their likes, dislikes, and preferences. We discuss what’s feasible and explore alternatives if needed, ensuring their vision is maintained. We are open to discussions and collaboration with all our clients.

What do you love most about styling weddings in Bali?

Bali is inherently beautiful, so a little touch is all it takes to enhance its charm without overshadowing it.

How do you handle unexpected challenges, like weather changes or last-minute requests?

We collaborate closely with organisers and venues to ensure everything runs smoothly, adapting to any challenges as a team.

What’s the most rewarding feedback you’ve received from a couple about your work?

We’re thrilled that we’ve never received a complaint. Our clients’ satisfaction is a treasure to us, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know they’re happy with our work.

Do you have any tips for couples choosing a florist or stylist for their wedding?

Communication is key. A good florist or stylist should be a great partner in conveying your vision. Share your dreams and ensure they can bring them to life within your budget. Discuss alternatives if needed.

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding decor in Bali?
